| One of the really cool things here is the sidewalk art. All of the sidewalks are made in cobblestone style, and there are different themes for the artwork that's built into them. Once you learn the themes, you can figure out where you are in the town based on these designs. After seeing the mosaics of Conímbriga, I have to wonder if there's a little Roman influence to this tradition. I'll be taking pictures of the sidewalk patterns whenever I remember to, and posting them on this webpage, so check back whenever you get a chance. |
